Guh! In the last couple of days I've realized just how badly I need to get things organized around here. My days are pretty organized, I have a set lists of tasks that I make sure I accomplish everyday, among the usual straightening up. I do keep the house clean. However, between the four of us, we have way to much junk. A lot of junk that none of us can seem to part ways with.
My daughter has way too many toys for her own good. The only problem is, she plays with ALL of them. So whatever I was to get rid of of hers, she would miss. Not only that, but my son will be able to play with them when he is old enough.
My problem is things I just cant' seem to let go of. My kids' clothes for instance. If it something extremely cute, one of their first outfits, or just in extremely good condition, I have trouble letting it go. Most of them would probably go very quickly if I were to have a yardsale, but I just can't seem to let them go!
Reading is one of my favorite hobbies, so I have a lot of books, but no where to put them. The problem is, I am limited to space. So I don't really have anywhere to put a book shelf. So all of my books are sitting in a neat stack in the bottom of my closet. It may be a neat stack, but it's still an unwanted stack. I could use that space for something else.
So all in all, every closet in the house needs sorted through, and I need to figure out a new way to organize them. New places for things. Maybe let go of some things. My kitchen cabinets could also use some organizing. Food is kind of just shoved wherever I see an open space. Not tidy, not tidy at all. It's sort of ridiculous. When we first moved in this house, I kept everything EXTREMELY organized for a few months. But I guess during the last months of my pregnancy, I let things go. And now that I have the baby, those sort of things don't even cross my mind, until it's too much to bare.
So Wal-Mart, here I come. I need some things to help with this organizing.
