I notice on forums, Y! Answers, etc., a lot of people post questions asking "What can I blog about?". I don't really want to be that person. I don't want to feel as though my blog is a chore. It's supposed to be a fun and light way to voice my opinions and such. I want to keep it that way. So I've decided to make a list of blogging ideas, not necessarily topics, but just ideas where to draw some inspiration from. That way if anyone comes across this, maybe they can get some ideas. Or if down the line, my own well runs dry.
- Things I'm looking forward too.
- Memories
- Things I regret. If there is anything.
- Find a quote, write how you feel about it.
- Book review.
- Movie review.
- Do a weekly review/recap of your favorite shows.
- Popular news stories.
- Interesting news stories that people may not know about.
- Celebrity news.
- Post someone's artwork that you like. Write about it.
- Things that annoy you.
- Tips/How To's.
- Write about "this day in history".
- Political topics.
- Religious topics.
- Write a "top ten" list on a topic of your choice.
- Create a "series",for example "Top Ten Tuesdays"
- Link and article you found interesting.
- Link websites that you love.
- Makes a list of your own personal "blogging tips".
- Make a to-do list.
- Ask your readers a question. *This is probably pointless if you have no subscribers.
- Do a post on the advantages and disadvantages of something.
- Share a list of your favorite blogs.
- Write a story or poem. (I'll probably never be able to do this one. I'm lacking in the creativity department)
- Write your own list of blogging ideas, like this one.
- Give tips on something you're good at.
- Do a survey
- Write a post about how things have changed in your life over the years.
- Research some statistics.
- Write a post about how you're feeling today. Elaborate on today's "tweet".
- Write a post about how your blog is different from the usual.
- Write how you feel about a popular website, i.e. Myspace.
- Make a list of goals. Short term or long term.
- Do your own "product reviews".
- Blog about where to find good deals on things.
- Write about your fave celebrity. Why you like them. Interviews. Fave movies starring them. Fave lyrics. Etc.
- Doing a post on "money saving tips".
- Describe your daily routine.
- If you have kids, write about the funny things they do.
- Write how you feel about current music.
- Write about current fads.
- Share your favorite videos.
I'll continue to add to this list as the ideas pop up. Even if I choose to write about them.
